This qualification is designed to compliment the Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace. It seeks to advise and guide those interested in protecting themselves against the damaging effects of stress. It is appropriate for all employees, especially those dealing with the public or working to targets or deadlines. This qualification will prepare employees to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of strategies to combat work-related stress, in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
Level 2 Award in Principles of COSHH
Course Overview - Half Day Course
This course compliments the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available. It is designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSSH) at work as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.
This qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling

This qualification compliments the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace. It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, introducing them to the risks of manual handling and the controls available. Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Principles & Practice
Course Overview - 1 Day Course
This qualification is aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, provides essential information about manual handling hazards and their control. The course can be taken as a half day course for those only wishing to gain the CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling or as a full day course for those wishing to gain the full CIEH Level 2 Award in Manual Handling - Principles and Practice. Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, employers are required to take appropriate steps to reduce the risk of injury to employees - this includes suitable training.

It is designed for anyone with a responsibility to conduct risk assessments, such as; team leaders, supervisors, site managers, managers, quality controllers, technicians, engineers, health & safety specialists and personnel contributing to the risk assessment process.
A properly implemented programme of risk assessments not only helps to prevent human loss and suffering, but also assists in the effective management and finance of any business or organisation. The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 means employers with five or more employees need to record the significant findings of the risk assessment.
